I don't think you can :wasntme:
I have the same vehicle and from my understanding is that the early D2 Td5 can only be chipped by replacing the whole ECU :o
Working on that theory = BIG $$$$$
1 x later model ECU.
1 x Tombraider Upgrade.
1 x serious retuning of injectors code, numbers...blah, blah.
I have been communicating with Tombraider in regards to this issue but as yet there is no real solution unless you want to spend the big ones :p
How much is big ones?
I just got a ecu in from the UK for about 330 landed. It cost about $100 for the coding. I'm currently getting it upgraded now by Tomy for $440. So, less than $900 and I now have a spare ECU. This is actually the same price as a DB upgrade on my existing ECU. I'm happy :)
Very interesting, Captain.
You and I need to talk :o
Hi Captain,
Where did you source the ECU from in the UK ?...I'm going back to the motherland to catch up with family next month so might be tempted to bring something back...
Best deal on a DP chip so far is $1420 fitted... ..
I am selling my Unichip module from my old Patrol so hope to raise about $800 from that..:)
cheers
Disco Pom..
