    D1 Temp Sender

I am trying to get a new temperature sender for the Disco (95 V8).

The one on mine is a small thread (8-10mm) and "bullet" type connector on top. Does anybody know what the part number would be?

I have had the wrong one sent to me (part No. PRC8783) and I want to be able to give them the correct part number. This one has a much larger thread (15-18mm) and has a spade connection.

    Thanks
    Andrew

I fitted one last July. It was the "Sensor, Coolant Temp, ECU." P/N ETC8496.

    Wires 2 Green/Blue & Red/Black. Cost. Apx. $32

**** Maybe the one you have is for the Temp Gauge? Wires 1 off, Green/Blue.

Condenser Fan Thermostat is 2 wires. Black/Purple & Black. Located above the water pump.

Probably the best way to ID them is wire colours.

Yes that's the one I want - 1 wire one for the temp gauge. This one is located on the inlet manoifold just to the right of the thermostat housing.

I should probably replace the other one too though as it doesn't seem to turn the thermo fans on, but when I bridge the wires 1 thermo fan starts.

Sorry, can't help with those P/Ns. My one came from Coopers.

Auto trans PRC8783. Manual trans PRC8003. Sensor which screws into the intake manifold.
PRC3505 is a switch which screws into the thermostat housing.

Thanks BigJon it looks like they sent me the right part then.

What is the difference between the manual and auto manifold?

I think mine might have the manual manifold on it because the part number for the auto you gave is the one I have (twice now)

    Thanks
    Andrew
