Only differences in centres is that sals is 12mm ring gear bolts and D60 1/2" I mentioned before. There are 2 different centres for both 4.56:1 and lower ratios and 4.10:1 and higher. CARRIERS are otherwise identical where it counts and run the same bearings.

Crownwheel-side pinion bearings are the same - yoke/flange side are different. To put a D60 pinion in a sals you need to use an HM88644 and HM88610 cone and cup.

What about the landrover diff Ben, what was that based around or is there conversions for something like a D44 or D30/35 which are comon in oz in Jeeps or are they a standalone design?

Again just for interests sake as ive had the landy for years but only just started doing major mods.

What other stuff crosses over from one brand to L/R that we all should know about?

I have an idea that Salisbury were a gear co. in the US that were around in the 1920's at least.

AFAIK - What we call the Salisbury is more correctly called the Salisbury 8HA. And it was built by GKN in the UK UNDER LICENCE from Dana in the US - So basically it was a LICENCED COPY of the low-pinion Dana 60.
