    300TDi fender- sticky throttle

is a sticky throttle a common problem with the 300TDi fender?

looked at the manuals i have and i cannot see where if any there are return spring(s) apart from the "one" little radial(sic) spring on the pedal itself?

    that all they usually have?

I've never heard of any common problem?
there is also a "radial" (as you call it) spring also on top of the inj pump
Try taking the cable off inj pump and make sure pump feels free (returns nicely) then you'll know if it is your cable
after fitting my aftermarket cruise control I wasn't happy with the way the retrun felt (under the bonnet) due to the "weight" of the extra cable
so I added a light tension spring on the inj pump end of the cable
