    Electronic interference & D2

Gday all, iam wondering if anyone else get something similar as we do. When we drive down Cunning Hams Gap (heading north) just after the helli pad we get the CDL chimes a few times then the light comes on, we always stop (3 times now) in the emergencey phone spot, push the diff lock lever over and pull back then lights out and we continue.
This is soooooooo strange as it happens in very nearly the same spot and after 56000k's it only does it there ??????? anyone heard of this or something similar.

I have certainly heard of communications stuff causing issues with TD's.

Apparently chemist shops (Pharmacies) have certain types of transmitters that have/can/do immobilise vehicles

Guess it has something to do with strenght and frequency of signals.

Yeah i agree it is weird, Dave was telling me this morning about yours Pedro when i was at the shop. I was starting to think there may be a locator near the helly pad for the choppers to come in and land on that is the cause of mine, maybe will never know

Strange thing is your CDL is mechanical, so i would think that your problem is a fault code issue, have it looked at and cleared to find out what fault code it is, maybe just a LANs fault.

the actual diff lock is mechanical but but why does it happen in that one spot 3 times now and nowhere else, IE pulling the van to Cairns and back, several 4x4 runs all over the place lots of short trips similar but up north or down the coast pulling the van so could it still be the electronic side of the diff lock. If it was a fault i would like to think it would happen driving in or out of the drive way.
