Are there any worries about jacking the front of a D2 with a single bottle jack using the diff as the jack point? (safety issues not withstanding)

I was under the impression that the jacking points on the D2 were on the suspension links ?

I stand corrected. In the old D1 days, the links weren't designed to be lifted from.

Errrr.... that's gonna be sort of dangerous no matter how you do it isn't it ?
If you're not taking the wheels off it's not so bad I guess ... but still ....
If you had a pair of axle stands you could jack up one side axle...slip a stand under the diff axle then jack up the other side ...slip a stand under.
Much safer - axle stands are not expensive and very handy you'll use them again for sure.
Both diffs are offset and are not very good to lift from with the one jack.
Cheers
