    More on Defender Door Seals

Don't know it it'll keep the water out, 'cause it ain't rained hereabouts for a while, but I can't see daylight through the gaps anymore

10x3 sticky back foam strip affixed to the doors which closes against the main seal. Not all that hard to apply. All you need is a stubby, stool and a spot of time. Can even be encouraged around the curves at the top of the rear door. Less than $2/m from Clark Rubber so gotta be worth a try.
About $30 for all 5 doors.

    Door Seals Defender

Perfect timing. I was just thinking on how I was going to stop the draft off my elbow while driving to work this morning. Was thinking along the lines of injecting some silicone inside the existing hollow seal. This looks much easier to do. Thanks,

    Ken

P.S. your defender looks like it is Cairns blue which is the same colour as mine.

I put some of this stuff on my doors to stop them banging before locks and door rubbers were fitted. That was about 2 years ago and is still there. did a great job.

Does this stop the rain leaking in the top of the front doors?

I realize rain is a strange concept but then I suppose so is washing the car with a hose.

    Lightbulb Door seals

Had a similar problem with rain running in over top of door opening trim. Appeared to be due to rack feet sitting in gutter with clamps under gutter. This meant rain being pushed back along underside of gutter then finding its way in over trim and under metal work, to then drip on my leg.

Am currently trying this: run some sealant along top of door opening rubber. That is, right up under the gutter. Then the rain hopefully will spill down over the rubber. instead of going in behind it.

Anyone got a moulding to deflect gutter run-off at front, down front of windscreen? At the moment it all goes down the door. But if the door is open, the water comes inside.

    Park with the nose uphill.

But a serious suggestion - drill a hole in the gutter opposite the 'B' pillar - then most of it will go there.
