Carby kit?

The holly is not the answer for off road , why do people always go for the holly carb :twisted:

Put a holly on a performance road car and even then they are crap:p , stick with the cd,s they were put on for a reason on the car from new = cause they work:p on road and off road unlike crap holly,s:angel:

Oh did i mention i dont like them crappy yank carby,s:wasntme:

Mmm. I assumed my kit was for a pair. So that was $30 for both carbies.

Can they be got rid of without affecting anything else - whats the procedure?

Hi there
IMHO unles you are lucky don't waste your time and money on a DIY rebuild kit for your stommies as the a proper recon job replaces the needle, (seat/jet/hole) whatever you want to call it. It's a difficult DIY job and needs a press.

If you don't need this part replacing go for it, it's not to hard and will save you big $$$ if you just replace the gaskets, o-rings etc etc etc

If have been told you do need it replacing do one of two things:
get the job done properly and just suffer the $$$$$$$
OR
Get a set from a used engine that are running well, swapping is easy.

Honest mate it will save you a lot of pain and time. I went the recon route and suffered the $$$$$$ but the economy/idel/running/power all improved but it will cost you !
$600 sounds about right.
