5 litres of meths what no orange juice and ice to go with it
cannot remeber the brand but any auto shop should stock it,be careful on the type of silicone you use as some will dissolve in oil and cause problems,I have seen one engine damaged from someone using the wrong type, plus let it cure before fitting the new loom I left mine sitting for 5 days before fitting it
be extra careful, some of the ones that are stabalised against oil are not stabalised against synthetics...
Hi your problem caught my eye. Have the same issue and have replaced both looms but obviously didnt get all the oil out of the main loom. what faults occurr on yours. mine still drives but get to 2900 rpm and ecu goes haywire
MCD
Checked my loom yesterday no oil at the plug 10000klms since loom replacement and sealing.

Doug
Hi MCD
NO faults occured on mine... it was only cause i took the ECU out for an upgrade that i noticed it.. otherwise i'd of been none the wiser. Zero problems.. zero lights coming on... but i guess that if there are any fault codes then Mr Tombraider will let me know... new harness should be here today so i'll start sealing it up with something..
you did replace the injector loom didnt you?
Thanks
Steve
OK harness and gasket here... i can now see why the thing leaks.. its the very definition of poor design! well that aside...
can anyone please give me a definitive silicon / sealant that i can use to block these holes up / seal the connectors? high temp.. oil (synthetic included) resistant etc etc..
remember im new to Oz.. so i dont know too many of the brands / terminologies yet.. hence the reason im on here with you very helpful guys!
Thanks
Steve
Well good luck and keep us informed
Hi Steve
The sensor safe RTV blue silicone DOESNT WORK,mine was melted by synthetic oil.
Try Coventrys and ask for somebody who knows what they are talking about look it up for you.
