Hey eel,
you should have negotiated this yesterday, before I drove up and picked up daves door and the slow combustion, could have done three things instead of two while i was out, make that four, remove the door first.
just let me know when.

Ok looks like the deal may be on for the doors, when i find out what ill need to change over ill order in or buy off some people on here that want to part with their treasures. Then i will put out the fealers for someone to give me a hand IE i want to do it rite the first time not half assed by my self, lol:angel:
As an aside - when I first built my IIA (as a hardtop), I hated the stupid stick things to hold the rear door up. I installed an old gas strut I had lying around, and it was fantastic!
I bet I can set it up so you can have both the swinging door AND the dual tailgate...
Hey Mark,
DO you still want that rear door?;)
Hi Mark,
If you need a hand, sing out, I'm not far away :)
What Dave says would be easy to do.
Four hinges, two for the top and two for the bottom.
The top part could be secured with the same system it has, to lock the whole door. Looks like an easy job.
Cheers,
Ron
I have also seen conversions done to the back door where the upper tailgate is retained, but the lower tailgate is side hinged. This works particularly well if you want to turn the truck into a part time soft top later on.
The only drawback to the rear barn door is when you hang a spare tyre off it - it tends to crack the frame.
