Good price for a 93 Defender?

Howdy, I was looking at a County a couple of months ago which you guys managed to talk me out of, now I've found this in the trading post - 93 Defender for $13000.

The ad doesn't mention the km's, or even what sort of general condition it's in, but assuming it's in reasonable condition is this an OK price?

    Cheers

seems a reasonable price for a good condition unit... start subtracting for any things needing work.

check with your insurance company and see what agreed value they will put on it... that would determine my maximum buying price...

Looks like a good unit to me, too many zeroes for my bank balance though

200tdi from the snorkel. The winch and towbar look a bit rusty, I'd go looking for more, also looks like towbar has been resprayed. Wonder what happened to the retaining screws from the fuse box?

    Good luck with it.

Get in before someone else does. Get it checked over by a landy specialist first to let you know what your in for, and work out a price from there. Lots of people are upgrading from disco's and rangie's to Defenders, get in before one of them gets there first.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I might see if I can get a look at it this weekend.

Simon, with regards to the fuse box, are you suggesting the owners possibly done something dodgy? I know on some cars you can remove a fuse to stop the odometer ticking over ...

    Oh yeah...........now I remember.....

Wasn't trying to talk anyone out of a County though.....Just that one was over priced.(most are)

$13,000 seems a little high for a 93 200 tdi too. I'm not trying to talk you out of it Mojo.
