He he he. i love playing those sort of games... Thanks for the pic. Your conversion looks great! As for the fruit truck, I spent about 8 years punting a S3 shorty about, so i'm half deaf anyway. I LERRRRRRRVE this website!!!

that's a real nice looking conversion in the rangy.
Maybe I should just get a switzer kit for the 110.
The Switzer was good, but it was a big diameter turbine and spooled up a bit late for my liking. I picked up a new Garret (TD5) turbo which is much smaller and made an adaptor to suit the Isuzu manifold. It spools up much quicker which is good when max rpm is 3000.
I still have the Switzer turbo if you want to try before you buy;).

Thanks for the offer Justin I will keep it in mind. I got quoted about $2k for a new garret - smaller & more psi than switzer. Smaller might fit better.
I know your right JC - everyone tells me it transforms the vehicle - even makes it quieter maybe.
The question is what what option is best for a 110 doing 10-15000 km/yr - Option 1 new motor (sell mine which goes pretty good) Option 2 just fan it without the factory mods built in to meet NPR commercial truck standards (Dave (Blknight) suggested a few options within this option).
Maybe hang out for the army sell out when a new GS fleet is introduced.

Its a 100 series toyota intercooler. I left off the sound dampening cover as in the photo you can see I made 16mm s/steel tube lines to run the water for the heater down the side of the rocker cover and wanted to keep them away from the turbo , so something had to go.:D

I've heard so not so inspiring comment on Chinese 4BD1's too, and have been told to stick totally to Isuzu genuine parts for my engine (Filters exempted), as there are plenty of copies, that are more trouble than they are worth!. I try and avoid buying anything Chinese at the moment, as I don't believe quality control is up to scratch. The warranty normally replaces the product, but what a waste!.
Did someone say intercoolers?:D:D:D
