    D2 error codes

Ok, my old man has a D2 V8, and the ECU is showing error code 1509, I presume the mechanic has a computer of some sort that can read this. However the dealer won't tell the mechanic what that code means.

I've got the RAVE CD, is it on there, or somewhere online as to what that code means ??

The problem is can the mechanic clear the code?
Reason I ask, I heard a story about a car that just wouldn't start for the owner who could nopt work out why, they finally bit the bullet and took it to a mechanic who put it on a testbook type machine. There was nothing wrong with the vehicle just the fact that the owner did all the mechanical work himself and the computer was full of logged fault codes.

Whether its BS or fact I don't know

sorry about the delay, I checked the list I have and the D2 is only covered up to 1994.

Maybe if you call the stealers and ask the service dept might they tell you?
