    Sorry to hear about it...

Maybe you could look at a replacement donk of 6 litres or more? from chev or similar... or go for an oiler... or acquire another P38 for spares....

    just a thought

Funny you should say that, I said to the Mrs last night, I might stick a 350 chev in it with some fat pipes ( as a laugh to see her reaction) she was really quiet for about a minute then she thumped me.

That made me laugh, Aussie. Was I reading your mind or vice versa? A 350 Chevy and it'd have to be lakes pipes down both sides, reinforce them and they can double as sliders! My missus would just groan, muttering things about Land Rovers............

LOL great minds think alike, perhaps this is the secret desire of all Land rover drivers, To stick a big Donk in their underpowered buggies

Or a rotary? Zip zip zip, boom!

Wonder how a full house 13b would be in a P38? Save a lot of weight, 300hp+ and about 2 foot/lbs of torque, maybe not, then again....be different, can't beat the sound of a big grunty V8 tho.....

Who remembers the Holden built Mazda Roadpacer?
(sorry, off topic) thinking of that I found this:

You cant put a Chev motor in P38 its just plain wrong.

Jag supercharged V8 would be far more in the style of things especially now that they have made there way into the RR sport anyway
