    Ace Oil Leak?

D2 is leaking what appears to be a very thin oil with a flourescent orange colour which looks a bit like air conditioner compressor oil. However the ACE compressor looks damp and the oil seems to be on the hoses that come from this.

Anyone experence oil leaks from the ACE compressor?

THe Ace is Hydraulic it has an oil pump not compressor. I think they run power steering fluid.

ACE fluid (Caltex Cold Climate PAS 14315 fluid) is bright green

If it's fluro orange it's coolant. Land rover/Caltex Long Life OAT coolant is fluro orange

Good call rick130. Had a chat today to Brit Spares and he also suggested coolant leak. Had a good look tonight and it seems to be leaking from around the water pump.

Have dried it out and now will run it to see where it is actually coming from. Seems to be a lot on the forum about leaking water pumps.

Book says take out the turbo!!!! Most of the threads say just remove the centrifuge oil drain pipe. Any one done it that can confirm the turbo stays on?

RAVE states that the turbo comes off as well as the centrifuge, plus you have to move the ac compressor aside.
