I would stick with the guys that know what they are talking about as most places will sell you any old crap that can cost more in the long run. Just get them to explain it better.

What are the boxes in the centre bit?

I went to Strathfield Car Radio yesterday to look at speakers and was bamboozled by the kit and the language. I suddenly felt old. Today I think I'll look at Supercheap where you can look for hours without being asked "Can I help you."

In the case of my local Supercrap, it's the sales droid's head that is often empty.

The best was from the last visit..."Landrover, who makes those then?"

Yeah the headlining is sagging but between the cargo barrier and other fastening points I do not consider it a high priority.
The green boxes in the centre section are the splitter boxes that seperate the signal so base goes to the woofers and treble goes to the tweeters. When I get a better stereo I'll buy two good 4" speakers for the front and hopefully they'll give good mid range but it is sounding much better than standard as is. The "splits" are a set by Fusion bought from WOW at Coffs H they cost $89.00.
    Steve.
