    Globe
    Switch
    Bad/loose/dirty connections
    Bad earth

Small list to start off with.

    Reverse light

Mine stopped working about 4 months ago. Not the globe, but will get it looked into in a week, when I take the car in for a service (still under warranty).
If it is anything of note, will post results here.

    Cheers,

    Ken

The TD5 Defender Reverse Light switch, switches earth on a relay that has constant power at the back. The relay powers the reverse light. When the earth circuit is completed by the switch, the little light in the switch turns on.

Check everything that's been mentioned, but get your head around the earth switching switch, otherwise you'll get confusing results from your multimeter.

It's all been covered, but I'd guess the order of likelihood as :

    • FUSE
    • GLOBE
    • EARTH (loose or dirty)
    • RELAY (failure)
    • CONNECTIONS (loose or dirty)
    • WIRING (broken or shorts)
