i have fitted a vn commodore pump to my tdi 200 disco.had old mate make me up a new plate to mount it,it has been on for about 4 years.its is a bugger to adjust drive belt.but apart from that it works fine.i was quoted $1200 dollars to replace with original in darwin.the conversion cost me about $400.i believe the price of pumps has dropped reciently though so check around first
I've only just noticed this thread - any chance of getting some more details and/or pics of your conversion on the 200 tdi please?
Cheers
Chris
Replaced mine earlier this year with a brand new pump from Toorak Tractor Co. in Braeside (Melb.) $295.00. No changeover, just chucked the old one out (after I pulled it apart for a squizz, bugger trying put it back together let alone fix it)!
Couple of hours and you are away.
Warning, don't mess around with this thing. Fix it NOW! I didn't first time around and it cost me an extra belt AND a water pump.
