Cost of a New ZF and 4.6lt , it would be cheaper to by a 96-2000 V8 Disco complete...

The trouble is I have spent so much on upgrade bits on my old girl. Diff locks front and rear, suspension, longrange fuel tank, snorkle, dual batteries etc etc so I dont really want to start from scratch again.
I have had nothing but trouble with the ZF boxes, love the engine but it is underpowered and tired and parts are expensive for them. This is why I was thinking about the holden alternative - spare parts are cheap and every man and his dog has worked on them.
i was thinking about getting a rear ended holden wreck to use as the base to do the exchange, that way I would have all the electronic bits to adapt to the landy.

Just a quick question does anyone have a rough idea of the cost of the holden auto and engine??

Ok for the second time, the holden auto won't fit, have to get an early imported 4L60E, unless somone has made a new kit.
Should be able to get an engine for around $2500 if your lucky, and the imported box for around the same.
