aaargh... I don't know. I ran out of time, and couldn't find a wiring diagram so it was supplied and fitted by MR Automotive. I'm sure if you gave them a call they could give you the details.
It comes with both landrover switches, and a wiring loom.

Maybe an early D2 cruise control would work on an early Defender, just a thought.

Is there a model number or something I can look at on my ECU to see what version I have..
as I have a late model 2001 would be keen to see if A. I can do this, B can I get ECU upgrade...!!

So there you have it!
Installation took around 1 1/2 hours (leisurely) and required the drilling of 2 0.500" holes for the switches.
I'll post installation instructions once I finish typing them up.
