Must confess I haven't yet pulled the dash to have a look - I was working of this thread http://aulro.com/afvb/showthread.php...defender+tacho
    which seemed pretty comprehensive.

I'd be up for a 90's day for sure. Truck is stock other than the bar work (and a loose nut behind the wheel )but hey - it's a D90 so no probs eh?

Always the way isn't it Funny enough I see 2 or 3 other Defenders (older 110's and a 130) quite regularly but the only other 90 I've spotted away from the dealers in 3 years was a bright yellow job up near Parramatta.

Where are you sourcing the connector pins for the ECU plugs? I read somewhere that they are 'econoseal' type but I haven't had much luck finding them.

    Hi there,

"2002 onwards ECU is because it only works with the newer ECUs, which are flashable and have been used form 2002 on. The old ECU, which is not flashable does not work. You would have to exchange it for the newer one.

    Cheers
    browny"

    Has anybody does this?
I am interested in buying a Td5 Defender in the future. I don't mind not having ABS, traction control etc but would like cruise control (and A/C).
If the computer is a straight swap, i would consider a pre-2002 model.

    Any thoughts?

    Cheers Hayden

Well guys, I just finished installing this on my 03 D130cc and it works a treat!
I used a SPDT centre off momentary toggle switch and have it on the side of the centre console next to the seat, push forward for accelerate/set, pull backwards for pause/resume.
    I'm one happy camper!

    Total cost:
    $2.70 for switch at jaycar
Free for plug pins removed from broken door locks from late Range Rover from auto elec.
1 1/2 hours doing the wiring.

    Thanks guys!!!
