surprise everyone and do like i am for kermit, bloody big base frame, cut out the tray at the back and then put in in the boot.....
actually I can, I still have plenty of it and even thicker stuff on a drum at work....
just mount a pair of starter batteries next to it and run some 4ag down to them from the alternator...
Kermit wont have that problem His is a pto drive unit thats just waiting on kermit getting made roadworthy first.
Picked up the winch last night, it is bloody massive. It has the option of running it as either an electric or a PTO . Do you have to have one or the other or is there a way of having it as both and using one option as a backup?
no you can do both, mount a belt drive pully on the pto unit and drive that with the electric motor.
put the pto in nuetral for electric work and leave the motor turned off for mechanical Im playing with the same Idea for kermit.
erm why the pto usually hangs off the transfer case, or were you going to drive that one off of the crank?
auto or no, it still has a TCASE and the pto hangs from the Tcase.....
