I have tru tracs front and rear in the disco.
Just curious.....
I have tru tracs front and rear in the disco.
lol question asked, question answered
but l think the person asking the question wanted more information than that provided
Which proves once again the answer that is given is determined by the framing of the question
Question Do you have Eaton diff locks
If So for how long
If So what did you pay for them
If So what changes in your car on road handling characteristics have you observed
If So what change sin your off road handling characteristics have you observed
Have you tried them in sand
If possible can you compare them usefulness to ARB lockers
Are multi questions are best a murderer never confesses to the crime when asked the first question Did you know the victim ?
I have one in the rear of my 88 Rangie 3.5 manual.
Absolutely no difference in on road behaviour.
Appreciable increase in off road ability, unless one rear wheel loses all traction (reverts to normal open diff action). Excellent in sand.
Cost about $950 for the diff, plus heavy duty axles (upgrade from 10 spline to 24 spline).
Self installed at no cost.
I have never tried air lockers.
In an issue of miltary machines international I think a perentie lrdp vehicle was fitted with a truetrac and a nospin diff front and rear (not sure which way around) as they found driver activated caused problems.

2021 Mazda BT50 or is that DMax?
true trac goes in the front, Detroit No Spin in the rear, otherwise some 'interesting' steering traits could eventuate.
and FWIW a no spin is pretty easy to fit in a Sals as it only replaces the guts (cross shaft and pinions), the crown wheel is undisturbed, and hence doesn't have to be re-setup, reducing installation time/cost.
How do you find "just" an LSD in the front compared to a manual locker? Does it still help if you have near-zero traction on one wheel, or even worse,a wheel in the air? Can you force it to lock somehow?
The no-spin is just the straight forward locker, isn't it?

Mate has front and rear trutracs in his Tdi auto D1. With 32's and scorpion evo2 kit it is almost unstoppable now. These diffs made an incredible diference, and no noticeable on road change in characteristics.
I'm fitting them to mine when $$$ allows.
