its not working

It looks the same as my navman.

some are sold with us maps and some with aust maps carfull

i bought one,it works fine.has route 66 maps.dous anyone know what i need to do to put topo type maps onto this.

I would say you wont be able to, i think they use the vector maps like the Sensis maps for all the local stand alone gps units. Does it have a memory card slot at all ?

I didn't think it was possible with 'street navigators'.
