Doing a complete bodyswap

Pulled the headliner down today, glad that it is not torn and have barely any marks in it but once it was removed I got to get a look at the sunroof, yeah... not so good.
Everything is there but there is square inch rust holes on nearly every corner of the runner box. Should be moderately easy to fix once the whole thing is out but just means more work.

Rather disappointed that Gary mentioned this body had next to no rust and was straight but its not exactly either. Looks like I'll need to redo all the panels, as on a thorough inspection it turns out that each and every one has big filler repairs.

Easo - I'll try to get more pictures tomorrow, having a bunch of computer problems at the moment so could be a few days till I actually get this thing to turn on to upload photos. On further inspections, turns out the bonnet (which seemed to be the straightest panel on the car) has a nice amount of rust in the front right corner, most of it going behind the striker support. So looks like I've got to drill out all of the pop rivets and take the skin off to get a better look and fix it all.
Both the sides of the bonnet have possibly the worst filler repairs I've ever come across. They are still nowhere near straight, and the bog has begun to bleach the paint. I really hate panel shops that let jobs get primed up whilst they still suck. I can see the hammer marks all over the insides of the bonnet edges, half moons everywhere. Looks like it wasn't even an apprentice job, maybe a 16yo kid on work experience.

Was kinda hoping to get out of some of the bodywork that the white one needs, but looks like I've got just as much to do, but in all sorts of different places now. I think the only positive thing about this green body is that there isn't pop-riveted sheets of colourbond in the sills and the floor, but there is substantial damage to the entire front passenger floorpan. One of the stress cracks being right at the top of the left A pillar is a real pain, to fix it I will possibly have to pop the windscreen out to at least prevent melting the seal. I'm still trying to figure out how exactly, there is a substantial split in the floor just next to the left, rear seat hinge anchorage point. It doesn't look like freak rock damage, more like something has cut it with wies snips.
I'm sure I'll find more hidden delights tomorrow, but for now I need to go get a beer.

If there is one thing I can advise, don't bother with the sun-roof, I fitted one out of a 92 car after a roll over in mine and there is no end of problems stopping water getting in.

Well after 15 months I'm back, but without two Range Rovers.

A family fallout saw me lose access to both Rangies. As far as I know my dad had lost the green one from this thread to the scrap heap after not paying yard fees for it in storage and lost the white one from not paying storage fees for it either.

An unfortunate end to a project I was so excited to start. But life goes on, the next Range Rovers I have will not be lost to another persons lack of responsibility and I will be back to it like the good old days pictured here over a year ago.

Sorry for bringing up the old thread, but it can be locked/deleted now as far as I am concerned. Thanks.
