    140 kph

But given that that's not legal in any part of Aus. any longer, I'll say 100 kph.

I got to 140kph with a 3 litre diesel & nissan box with standard diffs 7.50x16 tyres on a series Landy (in the NT when it was legal).

Mine used to do 150, the 202 was very healthy and lasted fine, but was noisy as hell inside, especially when I had a ute cab on. If I sat on 85-90 I would get 20 mpg, over 100-110 I would get 10 mpg.

    From the 2a owners' handbook (part No.4482) p 30:-

" With all this power available the vehicle is capable of sustained high speeds under normal road conditions. In common with all vehicles the petrol consumption mounts rapidly if high speeds are maintained. For example, at 50mph (80kph), the consumption in miles per gallon will be one and a half times as much as at 30mph (50kph) and at 70mph (112kph) the rate will be twice as much."

Its just possible that there are some differences between the one in a Landrover and the one used at Bathurst.
