Not specifically sure about this kit...

But in most after market installs of CDL in an early DII, it is not the Kkt... but your ECU that disables traction control.

In mine .. it I start the vehicle out of diff lock.. then lock it... I have both traction control and CDL....

If however, I start the vehicle with the centre locked.. the ECU detects a locked diff and disables traction control on startup.

I am not sure how the factory lock in the later DII's behave, but I'd bet that is what will happen with this kit too..

Judging by the words 'taken from', are the kits second hand? If so then consult a LR Dealer as you can buy new for that price with a little negotiation.

If you have a post 01 D2 you need both the front output housing for the transfer case and an actuator. Make sure those are both in the 'kit'. For reference you can buy a brand new actuator for $400ish, I shopped around and got second hand both housing and actuator lever for <$400.

Search the archives, there's heaps of stuff

For some reason I cannot see any photo of the product on the link, might have soemthing to doe with using my work laptop and firewalls etc.

However if it is the same as this one

    http://www.ashcroft-transmissions.co.uk/part_17.html

It works a treat and have had one fitted to my 2001 Disco for a year now, along with front and rear ARB lockers it changes the Disco into an almost go anywhere machine.

This is the same parts fitted to the G4 models and some of the last DIIs sold, then Ashcrofts bought the remaining stock when the DII went out of production.

Provided your transfer case has the knob for locking the centre diff it will fit, if your vehicle is 2002 / 2003 it might not have the knob
