Thread: Tdi 200 into '87 Classic V8

I know Warragul motor wreckers have a 1992, 200 Tdi DIsco on the lot.
Rodney Hodge or Graeme Scott at the wreckers would know what's what.

That was the plan, but engineer did not like that idea!!!

In my Rangie project the wiring was the easiet - just splice the V8 on and put the Tdi connectors on!!!

Thanks for the advice fellas, I would like to use an original harness if I can get it but as LRH says ;I can just splice things together if neccessary.

Hmmm... You should be able to find something if you do a bit of digging.

IIRC - There was a kit that LR produced to swap a V8 for a TDi in the RaRo... so, in theory, there should be part numbers around.

Mind you, compared to the V8, there's very little wiring on the TDi so I would have thought that re-wiring yourself would be quite an easy option.

Tell your engineer to do some reasearch.The early Disco/Classic Rangie share the same chassis,made on the same production line,they are the same vehicle with a different body!!!!
