I recall advising my son not to buy a Jackeroo 3.5 with 165K on it. He did however and by 200k he needed a new starter motor and then the auto packed it in. If you think ZFs are expensive try the one in a Jackeroo.
I shudder a bit when I see guys on this forum buying TD5 with(to me)astronomical Ks , thinking they will have no problems. It's generally a rule of thumb in the trade that 130-140K KM is the "limit of value" for most cars. They drop off a cliff after that.
I wonder how much of your problem is from a greedy trans reconditioner.ZF have a rebuild service in Australia and although expensive , my understanding is that they are good.
I would call most of your problems normal wear and tear on any car that age.eg alternator, starter, propshaft,compressor,fuel pump. there is not a hell of a lot more.
