This tells me your mechanics inept, not a problem with the vehicle....

Fix ABS/TC lights is either sensor or loom (one off fix) how many KM on vehicle?

I'll bet your not the first owner and bought it cheap....???


For the record, new LandCrusher has at 160,000km service has "replace fuel system" that is the complete fuel system... Cost $6-7k....

all that tells me you should have taken it to a competent mechanic and not a hack.

John, I had a look at some of your earlier posts and note that you had 220K Km on it in January.
I got to say that any brand of car will have these types of problems at that number of Kms.
I recall advising my son not to buy a Jackeroo 3.5 with 165K on it. He did however and by 200k he needed a new starter motor and then the auto packed it in. If you think ZFs are expensive try the one in a Jackeroo.

I shudder a bit when I see guys on this forum buying TD5 with(to me)astronomical Ks , thinking they will have no problems. It's generally a rule of thumb in the trade that 130-140K KM is the "limit of value" for most cars. They drop off a cliff after that.
I wonder how much of your problem is from a greedy trans reconditioner.ZF have a rebuild service in Australia and although expensive , my understanding is that they are good.
I would call most of your problems normal wear and tear on any car that age.eg alternator, starter, propshaft,compressor,fuel pump. there is not a hell of a lot more.

I agree .... Anything after 200k is "the bonus k's for a car" .... after this as all parts require Major service

If the Auto has collapsed .... I would be looking hard at who did the repair rather than the box .... For a broken flex plate ... The question would be .. DID they do up the torque convertor bolts to flex plate properly


You have to remember that the box did over 200k before needing work /// SO that does not make it a bad design .. otherwise it would have never done those K's in the first place





For "Expected" trouble free motoring .. One would have to buy from new, and then flog them off after 100K's

I bought my RR90 with 220 on the clock ... and it was dead set condition of either "repair or wreck" ..... I new this at the time of purchase, and paid the appropriate price of purchase for such condition /// Now each repair I make helps "wind back the clock" on having a reliable car

All cars are a money pit .... Choosing the right mechanic makes it cheaper & reliable .... Replaced 2x Injector harness + 2x gearboxes in a short period of time???... There's a hint there .. and it ain't the parts

I could not afford the price of a mechanic to work on mine, as the total cost of Parts & + Labour would blow the $$ of what this "car is worth" to out of unbelievable proportions /// BUT then again .... this applies to all makes and models

I sympathize with your Delmar of trouble ... but feel a different approach is required at this problem

The towing of a caravan up in the Kimberly heat .... What is the weight of this van???
Have you added a extra oil cooler for the tranny to help in cooling the oil down???
