Defender TD5 Fuel Pressure Regulator

Tim,
Judging from your picture, I am correct to think you are NOT based in Australia?

If you are I have the following:

I have a fuel pressure regulator in the garrage that you can have for a lot less than what the dealer wants for it. I was diagnosing a problem that some wise ass thought was down to the fuel regulator - long and short of it was that th regulator is fine!

You can fit the thing yourself, it is a bit of a pig to get to, but you should have it done in 1/2 day to a whole saturday if your havinga few pints whilst doing it.

If you want the regulator, PM me and we'll work something out.

Just be careful, early Td5s had a different regulator to the later Td5s.

Yep, Sydney based. The photo was taken in the Perisher Ski Resort carpark down at Jindabyne this July - great ski season :D

There's a difference in the gasket.
An outside repairer tried to claim parts warranty as the new fuel regulator he just fitted was leaking. He'd fitted the wrong gasket & it was leaking past that (ports not lined up).

I don't have access to the later Td5 parts list so I'll have to take your word on the pricing ;).

just got mine replaced in my 03 90 after 60000kms only cost $390 for the parts and got it done during the service

You could try Karcraft at Silverwater. I found them, to be good on price for spare parts.

dont forget to knock up a set of alignment dowls after yo uget the first bolt out... makes putting it together so much easier... not that its overly difficult on a deefer but on a disco.... :eek:
