OK, so im a complete novice, and reading through this is getting confusing. What I see is a pattern, where depending on the type of driving you do (off road), would determine the tyre width/treat pattern/tyre pressure/rubber compound etc.
So maybe for someone like me, it would be better if people put their experiences in the following categories (as Slunnie has):
Bitumen:
Mud:
Sand:
Rock:
Now seeing as were not going change tyres mid way through terrain between skinny and fat, am I right in saying that whatever terrain is available in most ubandance, then choose tyre to suit?
Good thread tho, I do appreciate the read even tho I cannot contribute as I really have very little 4x4 experience (which will CHANGE SOON!!) :D
