Changed to metric in 82 i think.
I did mine, $80 for secondhand spacers, $130 for discs, $9each for the o-rings:eek:

You might get lucky, but he had to find the price book and make a few phone calls.
Could have just been the guy I had on the phone, but he definitely can get them.
The paddocks calipers are looking more and more attractive.
Dave.
Yes. I have never looked at the Paddocks website before, it is very good.
You can get a pair of new calipers for about $220 Aus so I think I will go that way. There seem to be a few options for defender calipers (different years I guess) does anyone know which ones I should go for?
I've been looking at the same thing. A new pair of calipers is cheaper that the spacer kit (I want to run dba slotted discs so not interested in supplied discs). But then if the defender calipers are only slightly more expensive then why not get them.
Judging by the title of each part i would guess the non abs ventilated ones but like you im not sure. Im trying to find my rave cd to have a look at the defender and disco brakes for part #'s.

Calipers.
Michael.
hey all
A slightly different slant to the original question are larger rotors and the associated calipers and stuff able to be fitted to 16" rims under a disco? I appreciate that softer pads are the cheapest way to improve stopping distance, but was wondering about optimum set up?

That makes me think of another question Blitz.
Ar the Defender Discs and bigger in diameter than the Rangie ones. I run custom 15" rims and don't want to find out they dont fit!
The calipers are slightly longer, but the disk diameter is the same.
So you rims will fit.
Dave.
Thanks Dave. And thanks Michael for the link to that thread.
Now just 2 more questions. :D
Firstly I noticed in the outerlimits thread that if you go to Defender calipers that you loose the split braking circuit. I am guessing that this is an easy job but how do you think it would go with the engineer?
Also, are the hose connections the same on the Defender calipers as for the metric Range Rover? I was looking at the paddocks site and they have 4" extended braided brake hoses which would be nice.
