    tomcat transmissions

Do Bowler Wildcats, Tomcats, Dakar Style Land Rovers etc.. have low Range gearing or just an indestructable gearbox with no low range transfer case?

reason I ask is there is a RRC based buggy with a claimed indestructable 3spd auto Jag gearbox. From the images I saw (and cannot find again) it did not appear to have a transfer case attached to it.

What would this super box be?

and Quaiffe do a dog dog box conversion which I think is a six speed for the R380. (dog box=no synchros=wider teeth=strong)
They also used to make steel synchro's for the standard R380. (don't wear as fast and can use a wider range of gear oils)
