None the less I'd tow a reasonable distance like this, but only if you NEED to
Chances are if your fakred and need a tow, the auto is probably lunch anyhow and is the reason your towing, so it wont matter much anyway:D
Er, I took my rear flange off 2 days ago to put a new pinion seal in, and the flange can only go on two ways, as the bolts are in a rectangular pattern, not square.Quote:

AFAIR the front is the same.
I am willing to bet that an engineer wrote this long diatribe, which included " danger if you disassemble the driveshaft, you must ensure that the flanges are marked etc etc", and I bet some PR flack summarised it as it appears to save space.( losing the whole intention)
I repeat it makes no sense and is unecessary.
