Torque curve ?

I'm not sure if "correct" torque curve is quite right. It sounds more like a power to weight ratio thing there. I think usually a fairly flat torque curve through the rev range is what manufacturers are after. It helps with the drivability so that the engine will pull from low revs and doesn't surge with higher revs. A flat torque curve is smooth and flexible to drive.

TY Slunnie thats what i ment to say lol im not real good at explaining what my brains thinkin :) a few other mates had,torana 308,fiat 131 2 litre very fast,i seemed to bet them all the time always wonderd if it was because of the way my motor was setup it seemed to work well,aka torgue curve.
