Haha, excellent, I've played a little with CAD for schematic wiring diagrams, but thats all:)

Is that 40MM around the circumference or in a straight line?
It has to be in a straight line because that is the final amount that the pin has to move.
I believe that you need a longer lever , about 34 MM to be exact, if you are making a 4HP22 Kickdown.

I checked and the calculation was for the arc, not straight line.
You also have to make the lever in the shape of an inverted "L" , so that the cable and pin holder can rotate without fouling the lever. So the lever itself is in a more upright position than 45% , but the hole for the cable pin is at 45% to the fulcrum.

i am totally confused
but like awabbits cad drawing,
as a suggestion ( every little bit helps I suppose)
why not find a similar in car setup and measure the distances.

You mean like this?

Righto got it all sorted, PhillipA you were dot on about the kickdown requiring more length, as when I measured, I never pulled it into kickdown:angel:

Need to pull it all off and clean the welds up, cut the dags of and paint it, will have to be next week, then get a roady and reg:D.........oh after I remount the puta's under the dash somewhere:eek:
