They should know what they are doing, i've only heard good things about them. I can only guess that they got them wrong in some aspect, maybe length. I've got the specs that they should be somewhere on my computer here at work (10 cameron street in Launceston), I'll find it and print it off or e-mail you if that helps?

Just removed the front propshaft and heres the pic

as you can see it is fully extended and stoping, this was how it was under the landy (cleaned up of course:D)
this makes me think that the springs are wrong:mad:
my that's clean :eek:
If it's that stretched something is defenitely not right.
If you look at the bumpstop vs the axle you can see that it's too far forward, so they are either in backwards, or they are wrong.Quote:

some after market springs (which those look suspisiously like to me) do not have the hole smack bang in the middle (or just measure the srpings from eylet center to the spring locating bolt) and if fitted correctly put the axle where it should be but if in backwards will give your 88 nearer to a 89 inch wheelbase.

They look like REAR 8 leaf LWB springs and they look like they are in reversed, the spring shackle plates should be near verticle with just a little angle to the rear, they also look thick enough to be rears, the reason the Prop shaft won't fit is that the axle is too far forward, shocker should be verticle,
Front Spring should be 9 leaves about 1/16-3/32 thick, rears are about 1/8 and are 8 leaf packs, take them off turn them upside down on a level surface, the camber(bow) should be slightly different on each, the taller of the 2 will be the Drivers side, the longer section from the centre pin is the rear:)
DO NOT TIGHTEN SPRING SHACKLE PLATES UNTIL VEHICLE IS ON THE GROUND, then bounce it up and down to settle the bushes THEN TIGHTEN :)

Thanks for all your help.
I got the guy who made them to have a look while they were on the landy and I am going to get a main and secnd leaf made up a bit longer, which will bring the centre bolt and the axle back to near normal.
They were made with an increased camber to give a couple of inchs lift.
Hopefully they will be right by tomorrow afternoon.

This wouldn't be an Ex-Army Landy by any chance, as they have a raised chassis from production, and the were fitted with Diesel specification Front springs, if you raise them further there will be problems with the Prop shaft rubbing on the Crossmember , and the Uni Yoke will bind,
If the Spring Makers have any competence they will have the Specs of a Landrover Diesel Front spring pack and the Camber setting.they aren't that special.
