Water leak in passenger footwell - from around bonnet release handle
Hi All,
I've done some searching on this and can't find an exact hit for this particular water leak
.......
After some not-that-heavy rain yesterday in Melbourne I got into my 99 Disco after work and found a little puddle of water in the passenger footwell on the rubber mat.
When I popped the bonnet to have a look the bonnet release handle was soaked, so I know where the water was accumulating before dripping onto the floor! The problem is I am not sure where it is getting to the inside of the car.
I did, however, have a small issue with the windscreen wipers the other day and made a small adjustment with a spanner to tighten the nuts, as they were positioning themselves too low down on the windscreen and the driver side one in particular would stick in the "wipe" position, i.e. by my right eye! Could I have broken a seal do you think?
Any suggestions on how to find and fix the leak are welcome.
Thanks,
Chaz.

Not sure if this might help, but on the series 1 Discos some times the washer bottle would develop a leak which would work its way into the passenger footwell, just a thought and might be worth checking.
