Thread: its raining in my defender

    I fixed the problem with my SIIa, I took the door tops off and put a Jacket on and wore Gumboots while driving it.

    This was while living in Merrijig and working on Mt Buller in the snow etc.

    I found it completely useless trying to stop it but the best thing about it was the windscreen never fogged up in the rain as it was wet on the inside nearly as much as the outside.

    I used to use a fiar bit of rainX though as the wipers were also near useless.

    They must have fixed most of the leaks by the Disco 1 as mine only leaks on the left corner of the windscreen.

    Still leaks though lol

    im starting to think that land rover was supposed to be spelt LAND RIVER.........

    but someone made a spelling error back in the sixties and its stuck.......

    problem solved it rained again today quite heavily at times i looked and looked last night, couldnt find the water ingress point. so i got cunning today and reversed up the drive way where im working. leak solved. now it cant build up and runs off the front of the roof ,thanks for all the imput and positive response ill just duck out to the shed and put the finn brothers on to reassure myself
