bugger thats bad luck mate...what about getting one fabricated somewhere....its a hell of an exercise trying to replace one ....expensive for any new or replacement dizzy.

As I said in my earlier post I was visiting a local auto electrician for some bits for my dissy - he told me to rummage in his dead dissy bin and there were a couple of old Rover car V8 dissys in the bin - most of the mechanical bits are the same from the early 70s through to the late 90s and are similar to Land Rover stuff - the dissy I found cost $5 and had all the springs, clips etc but the electrics were different - so if it is clips or springs etc that you need check around your local auto electricians - this was the first auto electrician I visited and he had exactly what I needed.

You might be able to go to a machine shop with the dizzy and a pic of the area it goes into ....long shot though.
