Getting around in the bush, something I've noticed is that many of the people who habitually take the p1ss out of Land Rovers will eventually come out with a story about a Land Rover somewhere performing some unbelievable off-road feat.

Nope, doesn't look like it.
I was told today buy a bloke who drives a RAV 4 that all Land Rovers are crap.
I didn't even respond!

Will have to see how it pans out now that I have 33"x12.5" claws... he now has 35"x10.5 Simex Extreme Trekkers... I reccon it will be close.
