I was out playing on Sunday and and came across a nice steep rocky track.
Had a crack at the hardest line which involved a rock ledge about 1-1.5mtrs tall didn't
make it so reversed and had another crack at it. While the front was up and the back was pig rooting the ground the rangie stopped. I tried to restart, would kick over but not start..thought it was a fuel issue. Anyway winched backwards down the track to level ground to sus it all out, could not find problem and got a pull to the pub on main road where rangie was trayed back home.
Next day found busted wire to dizzy hiding in sheath...beaut nothing serious I was jumping with joy.
Got a jump as my battery was a bit low and it started up no worries went to chuck it in drive and nothing.
Ran the selector through the gears for a while and still nothing. No forward or reverse.
Put the CDL in to low (not locked) and it goes.....very slow reving at about 3k.
I have gone over all the linkages and are all fine and intact.
One of the transfer case mounts is busted..but it is still in position.
The rangie is 3.5v8, 3 speed auto, lt230t transfer case.
Thanks any ideas to diagnose the problem would be great.
