I'm also concerned about any method that lowers the pinion seting up vibrations in the drivetrain.

absolutely thanks mate what a great explanation
the two options that appeal to me are arms and the bushes
now arms are straight forward 3 degree or 6 degree or what ever your after QT will make them that's straight forward
but the bushes I can see them being a pain you press them in get a wheel alignment if it wrong punch them out press them in again get another wheel alignment mmmmmmm
I think the arms more appealing
Read this considering your still driving the thing and the only thing stopping you will be a major accident, a major fine and a defect notice or any other act of god

Find out if the cranked arms are legal to fit on a road going car in NSW, I may be wrong however I don't think they are, therefore the bushes may be your only feasible option.
If you haven't allready FFS, TALK TO AN ENGINEER, and remember just 1 kid, 1 cat, dog, 1 idiot cutting in front of you or braking suddenly is all it takes, you hit them, roll your (insurance and rego voided due to uncertified modifications vehicle) and you are in a whole world of hurt.
I can seriously see you spending a lot more money on your car to legally keep your lift. Like I stated to you I hope you do it, properly, there is a lot of knowledgable folk on this forum, you have chosen to ignore all the bad points all have told you and done all of the good and easy things.
Just a thought have you been through an RBT unit in your car? A cluey cop could cause a lot of crap for you if he asks to see your engineers report and notices you haven't got a modified vehicle prefix on your rego papers.
Sorry to nag, it's just you are acting like a kid ATM still driving it around and I don't think you are aware of the severity of the situation this lift you had to have has got you into, legally your car is uninsured and unregistered without a piece of paper and a signature.
And for the record yes my car has a piece of paper and an expensive rego sticker.
he did say he didnt care if it had to be trailered to where it was going.....and it would wourk out cheaper for him to do so......
what you say about legalities is correct......but i think he is simply building an off road weapon....come comp truck......
i dont think it will be on the road much longer with all the mods unless it gets engineered......
Maybe the PO thought he would add a sand filter to the inline filter.
Perhaps you could fill them with diatomaceous earth instead.

FFS I can't even take my sIII or RRC upto Stockton or any of my local jaunts due to rego restrictions. Rangers work with police,as well as police patrolling bush tracks as well. Is there anywhere within a 3hr drive of Sydney (apart from private properties) that will allow the 4wding of unregoed cars? I don't think so.
If its getting trailered, who cares about caster?
whoops wrong post.Quote:

Maybe I went to sleep looking at this one.
What is it about?
You mean he didn't EXPECT to have neg caster when he lifted 4 inches?
You mean he didn't read ANYTHING about the topic before doing it?
If the axle is turned, I suggest he invests in a vastly expensive front propellor shaft with wide angle UJs, and maybe a scattershield if he retains the double cardan.

I think a convoy of cattle trucks just passed by my office, theres a rank smell of Bull#### in the air.
