Broken Exhaust Stud

Well I had Action Thread Repairs out last Friday, diamond drill straight through the easy out, then used a larger easy out to remove it. He changed the second stud on #5 cyl. and fortunately he did, it was half way through already. All other were OK.
The manifold was seriously out too, by about 1.5 mm. Machined and all is good now. Thanks for all the replies.

That's nothing - I've seen them where they can't be machined flat again !!
I would say most I've seen have been around the 5mm mark before machining.
