Given that its likely to be a wiring fault or a dirty sensor (wiring fault will more than likely be a fatigue failed connector or abraded wire) if you find it and fix it the lights will clear when you shut down and restart.

The idiot lights will go out but the ECU will retain the fault code Until you get it to clear, Jaycar have an OBDII complient hand held unit that can do a master reset type clearance but they seem to be hit and miss Ive tried 3 1 refused to do anything but power up, 1 worked and one bought up a cabling error message.

    Hi Dave Stimson
Ive been given a way to check find which wheel sensor is the problem, going to get mine up on the hoist at work tommorow and check to see if it works..
Will let you know how I get on as ive cleaned the dirt out of the 4 sensor points with air and water but still have the lights.
ABS is still active as Ive tested it out.

that wouldnt be the find your failed wheel sensor by getting up to speed on a gravel road and nail the brakes then check which wheel locked up test would it?......

    Three Amigos

Dave, I have the same problem (three amigos) and have had the mechanic repair the valve (was still under warranty)

It has come-ON twice since then and had same mechanic repair the fault at a cost of $ 80 a pop....Getting very frustrated at spending the money to get the dash light off with no garanties that 2 days latter they will be ON again...

It is now ON and I have tested breaking hard on tarmac and gravel... ABS at least is working!! If anyone has any ideas (switching off the unit altogether)..... I undersatnd the new units cost 3K... anyone with a spare going for a reasonable price?

    Hi Texas
Have a look at this thread
    http://www.aulro.com/afvb/technical-...sor-fault.html
Ive found if you jack 1 wheel at a time with CDL UNLOCKED and handbrake off if you run the car in gear the speedo will work if the wheel sensor is good(YEP D2s are 1 wheel drive with no CDL TCs).The wheel with no speedo working is the one with the dicky sensor.DONT GIVE IT CURRY JUST INCASE!!!!!! NO MORE THAN IDLE SPEED !!!!!!!
Im looking for a new/used good rear sensor to put in mine to see if all is fixed.
Try and let us know the results PLEASE.
