    worraps

If the KD cable breaks it still changes up ok but wont kick down but what it does is it drops line pressure which causes the clutchs to slip under load.

This over time can cause premature wear on the clutch packs, case breaks and sprags and will casue the trans to fail if not sorted relatively quickly.

It deffinatly wont stop the car but will cause things to wear that will.

    McRover.
Honest question and not a Dig.

You answer alot of questions on the ZF's
so you have some knowledge... Are they that much of a drama?
Before i fit my ZF, should i think about a Ranger 3 speed for the County?

Where do you find out all this info?

jsut to see if I can second guess MC rover.

The Zf is your auto box of choice for the rover but make sure you get the one thats setup for your engine as the mapping and internals are slightly different.
