Hi I'm a new member and new landy owner (2001 DiscoII) and have a couple of questions. Firstly, I have been quoted by my local dealer $500 for a spare key! Is there a cheaper option? Secondly, I want to learn more about my new baby - things like which panels are steel and which are ali, and where the wheel brace is meant to live(!) I heard there are manuals available on CD-ROM. Anyone know where I can find them?

oh and the wheel brace lives in its little black zippered bag along with the locknut cap remover, jack handles and wheel chocks in the rear door parcel tray

Not in my wagon. Looks like I have been sold one without the black bag or its contents. I'm still in warranty so I'll talk to the dealer. Shiat! You can get a lot of screw drivers from Bunnings for $500, you could have a 'Key for the front door' a 'Key for the ignition' and a few spares for other vehicles.

There are lock nuts on the wheels but no remover. Just spoke to the dealer who has said he will find all that gear for me which was great. I'll just have a nervous drive the 500km's to get to the dealership!!

not sure who else has this problem but--
I may be removing my locknuts,,
the adaptor has worn the nut one one wheel to such an extent after only 3 or 4 uses as to nearly be unusable,,
second hand nuts are about $5 ea,,
