Do or Dont Suspension???

Most of it depends on $. Konis are the best but expensive. Bilsteins are a close second and a lot cheaper. Had Konis on my RRC and Billies on my Fender. Both are available in extended length shocks (maybe not in Australia), but may mean relocating mounting points and modified shock turrets.
Anything over 2" is now illegal (total, spring, shock, body and tyre lift) without correct approval anyway.

When I ran billies on my fender they were $900 for the set,now I have Koni's and they were $770 for the set.For a road vehicle Koni's are my pick but that is taking nothing away from billies,both are a great shock. Pat

Hi TTDDFIVE,
When I bought my 1993 Tdi (in 1996, I think), it behaved similarly. Once I fitted Bilstein shocks, it tightened up noticeably (to such an extent that I never bothered to fit the anti-sway bars that came with it).

Go Billies or Konis first & then see how the handling suits you. Then consider springs, if necessary.
