    what oil for tcase ?

    Don't have the book in front of me and want to get it on the way home tonight so just wondering what brand and type of oil i need to get from repco or bursons for my transfer case as it needs toping up again ?

    1997 disco v8 3.9lt

    Working off of RAVE it states

    API GL4 or GL5
    MIL - L - 2105 or
    MIL - L - 2105B
    C or D

    Viscosity
    90 EP
    80 EP

    Didn't get time in the end, might go now.

    Thanks though, don't think it has any synthetic oil in it, so just want to top it up a bit, might just get as suggested 75/90 gear oil.

    Had a quick look on Castrol and Penrite websites, they suggest :

    * Castrol EPX 80w/90 SAE API GL5
    * Penrite Hypoid 80/90
