Thanks for the link to that thread, I had seen read it a while back but had forgotten about it.

Unfortunately I didn’t get any of the plumbing with the Diffs when I bought them. If I had them handy I would have used the manual switches.

The only reason I’m looking at solenoids now is to keep the behind dash clutter to a minimum. It’s a dogs breakfast as it is [emoji849] [emoji2957]

A cool feature of the Maxi-drive is a switch inside the pneumatic actuator that shows when its full engaged.

So Colin, I don't suppose I could buy the solenoids and other bits of plumbing I need through you ?
A double acting (bi-stable) valve often has a detent (ball pushed into a recess by a spring) but some don't and rely on friction. I've seen instances where vibration on a machine has caused a valve to switch. Sometimes the orientation of the valve made the problem worse depending on the vibration.

The ARB solenoids cope well with over-voltage (I used to work for the supplier), my current employer also has higher rated solenoids but mainly 24V DC for use on trucks where the voltage can be much higher than +10%.

I could help with tube & fittings but the small 5/2 valve directly actuated isn't in our range, neither is the compact manual switch. We have bigger industrial valves (higher flow rate).
